“ I got a bag of goodies from here. The Ube brioche was super soft and had the right amount of Ube in it. The Ube flan had the Ube base topped with regular flan. That's a good amount of flan in that small cup. The appearance is deceiving. The bibingka was normal, usual sticky rice packed densely topped with burnt caramel. The pitchi pitchi was quite unique. Sweet cassava squares with salty shredded soft cheese. My favorite was the food for the gods cake slices. Amazing date walnut cakes with rich buttery goodness. ”

Apparently, there was a growing Pinoy community that I never explored when I visited last year and hardly touched this time. PURCHASE 6pc Hopia Baboy ($4.65): Made with simple ingredients such as sugar, onion, scallion, salt, pork oil, and shortening topped with sesame seeds, these flaky pastries were fresh, soft, and easy to eat more than one per seating. The only drawback was that I felt there could've been more filling because there wasn't much. “ come for the bread stay for the bread and probably go a little further in and grab some lumpia and pancit. if there is one thing nyc is lacking is filipino food.......and really dont have any filipino bakeries. so to cross the river and find this place was heaven. just get yourself a fresh hot bag of pandesal go to liberty state park and take a nice carb nap by the water. there is seriously nothing better than the pandesal fresh or get two bags and the next day toast em up and enjoy. also the hot food in the back is worth checking out too. the menu isnt super expansive but it has everything you need to feel like you have made your lola proud with what you have but into your belly. ”
